Checking a ShowVault, DCP-2000 or DCP-2K4 security certificate expiration date
The original security certificate expiration date for Doremi ShowVault, DCP-2000 or DCP-2K4 servers was set to expire on November 30, 2025. Once expired, the server will no longer be able to play secure content. Dolby issued a technical bulletin in 2023 advising owners of this matter, along with another issue that prevented the servers from recognizing dates on or after January 1, 2024. Most users updated their security certificates at the same time that they updated the software to recognize dates after 2023. These updates were outlined in the Dolby bulletin linked below:
It is very easy to confirm that your server has an updated security certificate. There are two techniques, depending on the interface you use to access your server.
If you are using the original, "direct connect" or VNC type connection to your server, follow these instructions:
1. From the "home" screen of your server, click on the MENU button and select DOREMI APPS
2. On the SYSTEMS tab, the CERTIFICATE END DATE appears in a box on the left.
If you are using the web-based interface to your server, follow these instructions:
1. From the HOME or OVERVIEW page, select MONITORING->DIAGNOSTICS
2. Select MEDIABLOCK
3. The certificate expiration will appear in the CERTIFICATE box.
