GDC Server not displaying random content on a DCDC/Deluxe QNAP or FilmVault delivery device

GDC Server not displaying random content on a DCDC/Deluxe QNAP or FilmVault delivery device

A random glitch has been observed in certain GDC servers.  This affects both the SR-1000 and SX-2xxx series of servers.  This problem does not appear if the content is being downloaded through a TMS.

Content delivered by DCDC or Deluxe to terrestrial devices, such as the QNAP or Filmvault, is not appearing where expected but rather appearing bundled in random other folders.  For example, the feature "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" was found in the "Forgotten Island" trailer folder, along with six other trailers.  Interestingly, that trailer folder was found in the FEATURES folder.

There appears to be a very easy resolution to this issue.  Go to the SOURCE management screen, locate the source for the QNAP or similar device in the GDC server, and uncheck SHOW INGEST CONTENT ANNOTATION TEXT.

To access this screen on a GDC SR-1000, log in to the server as MAINTENANCE.  Navigate to the CONTENT tab and under that tab select SOURCE->Manage.  You will find the checkbox at the bottom of the screen.  Uncheck the box and SAVE the source.

To access this screen on a GDC SX-2xxxx server, go to the CONTROL PANEL page, select MANAGE CONTENT and select the SOURCE tab.  Under the SOURCE tab, use the drop box to the right of SOURCE NAME to select the appropriate SOURCE then uncheck the box.  Save the SOURCE by selecting the SAVE button.

After unchecking the box, the content should appear correctly.
