USL JSD-60 won't switch modes
There is a known issue with the JSD-60 processor. There is a ribbon cable connecting the front panel circuit board with the motherboard. Problems with mode switching, volume changes and dark display can sometimes be resolved by reseating this ribbon cable.
- Carefully take note of the cables plugged into the processor and where they are plugged in. Take a photo of this for reference.
- Remove the JSD-60 from the rack.
- Remove the top cover of the unit using a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Immediately behind the front panel there is a gray ribbon cable. Carefully unplug each end, one at a time, and reseat the cable.
- Reassemble the unit and reinstall it into service by reversing the steps above.
