A common question that we get asked is "how do I turn on my Doremi Showvault or DCP-2000 series server?"  Doremi did an amazing job of hiding the power switch from the user.   The short answer is that the power switch is behind the front hinged door that covers the RAID array.  On most servers this door is locked with a key.

Doremi used two different chassis frames for their servers.  One was a 3ru high chassis (5.25" or 133.3mm) and the other was 4ru high (7" or 178mm).

On the 3ru chassis, the power switch is behind the door with the lock on the right.

As before, the power switch is located behind the locked door on the right.

An important note is that, with the exception of an emergency shutdown, such as a recovery from a lockup, the server must be shutdown using the software interface.  With the original (traditional) interface this is found by clicking on the MENU button in the lower left corner then clicking on the LOGOUT button.

Once the LOGOUT button has been clicked, the screen will present a popup with SHUTDOWN LOGOUT and RESTART options.
