Christie Extractor Fan Interlock
This error message appears when the projector is ON (not STANDBY) and the external exhaust fan is not drawing air. The usual cause for this error is that the external exhaust fan is turned off. It can also be caused by a clogged fan or exhaust or if the air flow switch has failed either mechanically or electrically. The lamp will not light in this condition.
This error should not be overridden as to allow a lamp to run without proper exhaust is quite dangerous. The lamp will overheat and possibly explode or cause other damage to the projector and possible personal injury.
The extractor fan air flow switch is located just inside of the top exhaust port and can be seen by removing the exhaust duct from the top of the projector.
